Those who have moved to Japan from abroad or moved from outside Saga City into Saga City need to go through “Moving In” procedures at Saga City Hall (Main Office, Branch Offices) within 14 days of when they start living in Saga.
1.Moving from Abroad
Things to Bring When Filing your Notification
Resident Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate (Includes items considered as Resident Cards)
⇒Those who will be receiving their Resident Card later will need their passport
Documentation showing the head of household and family relationships as well as Japanese translations of these documents (Not necessary for individuals arriving alone)
⇒The name of the translator must be clearly written on the translations
2.Moving from Outside Saga City Into Saga City
Things to Bring When Filing your Notification
Resident Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate
⇒As stated above this includes items considered as Resident Cards
Change of Address Certificate
Documentation showing the head of household and family relationships as well as Japanese translations of these documents (not necessary if this information is listed on the Change of Address Certificate)
⇒The name of the translator must be clearly written on the translations
※If a proxy will be doing the procedures on your behalf, a Power of Attorney Form is required. In addition the proxy must bring documents verifying their identity (such as a driver’s license)
※It is necessary for everyone who is moving (All family members) to bring their Resident Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate (Includes items considered as Resident Cards.) Those who haven’t yet received their Resident Cards will need to bring their passports.
