The garbage system is very complicated, with 6 different categories of
garbage separation. This system reduces the cost of recycling and is the
foundation of Saga's efforts to improve the environment, your cooperation is
appreciated.
The basic separation of garbage is:
Burnable- compostable kitchen leftovers, paper, garden plants, old shoes,
etc
Unburnable- broken glass, chinaware, broken electronic items etc
Plastic etc.- trays, oil/shampoo/soap bottles, egg containers, Styrofoam,
etc
Harmful - medical waste, light bulbs, batteries
Renewable resources - aluminum/steel cans, glass bottles, pet bottles,
newspapers, cardboard, magazines, books, blankets etc.
Oversized - furniture, large electronic and household goods etc.
Garbage bags for Burnable, Unburnable, Plastic, Pet bottles, Glass/Metal can
be purchased at most supermarkets and convenience stores. Ask at the
register.
